2012 Summer Olympics

London 2012 brought together 206 National Olympic Committees and 10,518 athletes. Kenya sent 47 athletes, and David Lekuta Rudisha set a world record of 1:40.91 in the Men's 800m.

David Lekuta Rudisha became the first person to run the 800m in under 1:41; London became the first city to host the Olympics three times; Daniel and David Lekuta Rudisha became the first Kenyan father and son to represent Kenya and win Olympic medals; Disciplines: athletics, boxing, swimming, weightlifting.
